On today's day of remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I would offer one of his famous quotations: "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." Strength to Love, 1963 ​

His words ring truer than ever. May we all find the strength to stand for truth and show kindness to all.

Brisbanites, come on down to the BLT! I love that our small community embraces the underdog. So how about supporting a local restaurant? The decreased foot traffic during the winter months are especially challenging to maintain the business--the bills still keep coming! What's cooking this Thursday, you may ask? How does a multi-layered, hearty lasagna sound? A rich beef and pork Bolognese-style sauce, creamy bechamel sauce, pasta and just enough cheesy goodness is layered to create a satisfying dinner. Some fresh vegetables and roasted garlic bread, to round out the dish--yum! A bowl of clam chowder or an additional side salad can be added on to complete your meal. Order early to secure your selection. Pick up is from 4:00-5:30, please make sure to specify the correct date and pick up time when placing your order online.
